This print keeps what you can see: a koala with big ears and a broad black nose, a shirt full of hibiscus, the look of a half-asleep plush toy. I created him facing forward with a clean background — on a wall he doesn't need anything around him.

Why does a koala sound so deep? The male has an extra pair of velar folds in his larynx, and out of that comes a bellow far lower than his size would promise. Cooper's had it since birth. If you want the rest, there's his story on the character page.

Animal Kinhood is the series I've spent years on, portraying dressed animals living ordinary people's lives: a radio announcer, someone who delivers hardware, folks who get up early. Cooper is one of them, and this print pulls him out of the story and puts him in your home.
