Framed poster

This framed ring-tailed lemur poster arrives with its frame on, ready to hang from a nail: a lemur facing forward, in a camel coat and blue shirt, holding your gaze against a plain background. It's Wesley, communal mediator from my Animal Kinhood series.

The real species

Ring-tailed lemur.

Lemur catta

Boundaries are measured with a paper tape. A raised voice doesn't move maps.

Endemic to southern and south-western Madagascar; inhabits spiny forests, gallery forests, dry scrub and deciduous woodland. Its range runs from Tolagnaro in the south-east to Morondava on the west coast, with inland populations in Ambalavao and the Réserve d'Anja.

The Weight of Every Word

In his story, Wesley once made a drafting mistake that delayed an agreement by three weeks, and he hasn't forgotten it. Since then he chooses his words with surgical care: he won't write "alleges without evidence" when he can write "states the following." The difference is tiny in the sentence and enormous at the table.

The portrait doesn't tell any of that: it only shows his forward-facing face, the amber eyes, and the lapels of the coat. I created him calm, against a plain background, and with the frame it has the weight of a small painting.

A Painting for the Entryway

Wesley is one of the Animal Kinhood characters; in his case, a lemur who mediates between neighbors at the mairie of Ambalavao and, when the tone rises, comes out with his usual line: if it isn't clear, we don't sign.

Framed, the portrait has just the right presence: when someone walks into the room, the first thing they do is look at it. It works well in an entryway or a hallway you pass through. You'll find the whole series — also framed — in the shop.

§ 07 What people ask. 08 · about POD
  • Each product is made to order when you place your purchase. There is no pre-made stock or overproduction. A specialised production partner prints, cuts, and prepares it specifically for you.
  • Production normally takes 2-5 business days. Shipping adds 3 to 20 days depending on destination. Most orders arrive within 1-3 weeks total. Exact times depend on the production facility and your location.
  • Contact us at mail@yagopartal.com with your order number and clear photos of the damage (include packaging). We will review your case and offer a solution as soon as possible, either replacement or refund.
  • Animal Kinhood is a series of anthropomorphic animal portraits created by Yago Partal. Each portrait features a real species dressed in clothing that reflects its personality, blending photography, illustration, and artificial intelligence.
  • Since products are made on demand, different items may be manufactured at different facilities. Posters, mugs, and backpacks are often shipped separately. Each package has its own tracking number.
  • Posters are available in two sizes: 12 x 12 inches (approx. 30 x 30 cm) and 18 x 18 inches (approx. 46 x 46 cm). The square format is part of the series' visual language.
  • The posters use 189 g/m2 matte paper sourced from Japan, 0.26 mm thick. They are printed with water-based multicolour inkjet, ensuring accurate colours and a smooth, glare-free finish.
  • AI is a tool within the creative process, not the process itself. Yago directs each portrait: researching the species, designing the character, and manually selecting and editing the result. The artistic decision is always human.
